A recent article shared by Peter Attia, MD discusses new research suggesting that short bursts of high-intensity activity may deliver health benefits comparable to longer moderate workouts.
The study (Biswas et al., 2024) is interesting — and yes, like all research, it has limitations.
But here’s where we slightly disagree with the conclusions being drawn online 👇
💡 The real problem isn’t finding the perfect protocol.
It’s that most people don’t exercise at all.
And the #1 reason?
👉 “I don’t have time.”
🧠 What the study actually found (in simple terms)
The researchers analyzed data from thousands of people wearing activity trackers and compared how different exercise intensities relate to health outcomes like mortality, cardiovascular disease, and cancer risk. What they found is that short bouts of vigorous activity can provide similar benefits to much longer periods of moderate activity.

In practical terms, this means that 1 minute of high-intensity movement may offer a similar health impact as 3–5 minutes of moderate exercise, depending on the outcome measured. The key factor wasn’t just how long people exercised — but how intense the movement was.
This doesn’t mean longer or easier exercise is useless. It means that intensity can dramatically improve time-efficiency, especially for people who struggle to fit workouts into busy lives.
That’s exactly why at MobiGym, we focus on high-return, time-efficient training:
✅ Short, structured, high-intensity sessions
✅ Once or twice per week
✅ Evidence-based protocols
✅ Designed for busy professionals
✅ Focused on longevity, not just fitness
💥 This is why our clients get results with as little as 20 minutes per session.
That said — and this is important —
we don’t believe intensity replaces everything.
👉 We actively educate our clients on:
• Daily movement
• Light & moderate activity
• Habit building
• Long-term sustainability
Because longevity isn’t built in one workout — it’s built over time.
⚖️ Our philosophy:
High-intensity = powerful tool
Low-intensity = foundation
Consistency = everything
